Zardband Cultivation and Processing Company started its activity in the field of production and processing of medicinal plants in 2021. This company, under the name of the agricultural department of Zardband Pharmaceutical Company, was formed in 1993 with the efforts and knowledge of great people such as Dr. Reza Omidbeigi and Dr. Seyed Mohammad Fakhr Tabatabayi, as the first and main pioneers of Zardband Pharmaceutical Company, and by choosing a site as a research farm in the village of Zardband, located in the northeast of Tehran, different cultivars of medicinal plants were cultivated experimentally.
Today, this company aims to produce medicinal plants in accordance with GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) standards, observing ethical values in order to improve the health of the society by using potential capacities and based on current knowledge to create credibility.

Scientific achievements
The research activity of Zardband Cultivation and Processing Company includes studies and field research on the plant flora of Iran and identification of species and germplasm of valuable medicinal plants of the country in different regions and efforts to domesticate, propagate and introduce their true value and status. This activity is carried out with the cooperation of internationally renowned experts, including Dr. Georges Betti from France, and the result is numerous articles that have been presented in scientific circles.
Also, all agricultural activities, including reproduction, extensive cultivation, and control of pests and diseases in the farms of this company, are carried out under the supervision of experienced experts and based on the rules and regulations of healthy agriculture and compliance with environmental principles, in line with sustainable agriculture, and its results has been published in many prestigious domestic and international magazines.
The results of the experiences of this company have been published in 4 volumes of the book entitled Production and Processing of Medicinal Plants written by Dr. Reza Omidbeighi, which was selected as the selected book by the Department of Agriculture, Department of Applied Sciences, in the 29th book of the year of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2011 and it is one of the important sources of teaching in universities and scientific circles.
Currently, this company is one of the most successful medicinal plant production complexes in the country with the help of a powerful scientific team, and the mass production of plants such as Cephalofora Aromatica, Agastache Foeniculum and Leuzea Carthamoides for the first time in the country is a proof of maintaining the leading position of the scientific and efficient agricultural group of Zardband Company in It is the region of West Asia.
